Corporate and Group tastings
Adventures in Wine are happy to put together tastings for businesses, groups or wine clubs looking for lively sessions led by an independent wine expert.
Corporate wine tasting events are a relaxed and sociable way to learn about wine and great as a team building exercise, reward or as corporate entertainment. These can be custom made to suit your requirements - from basic wine appreciation to master classes on themes such as Pinot Noir, Champagne or icon New Zealand wines - or follow a suggested programme.
One option could be an introduction to the basics of wine tasting and key grape varieties, which for visitors to Canterbury could be based around local wines, culminating in a light hearted interactive 'Wine Options' quiz. Here teams or individuals blind taste a wine that's connected with the earlier part of the session, and then have to guess what it is through answering yes or no to a variety of questions about its characteristics. The winners get a vinous prize to take home with them.
These would last around two hours, with nibbles provided. However, Adventures in Wine's corporate wine tasting events can finish with a meal pairing dishes with the wines tasted. There is also the option for 'cook and quaff' days where the wine session is combined with a special cooking class with Jo Seagar.
Events can be held at Seagars stylish private dining room at Oxford, in-house or at suggested venues.
